Australian sports panel features Gymnastics Ethics Foundation

The sports panel ‘The Ticket’, aired weekly on ABC News Radio in Australia and presented by Tracey Holmes, looks at sports governance and its wider implications. The latest podcast on abuse in gymnastics features an interview with Alex McLin, Director of the Gymnastics Ethics Foundation.

This edition of ‘The Ticket’ follows up on the documentary ‘Athlete A’ which has encouraged gymnasts from around the world to speak out against abuse they have suffered – including in Australia. The dedicated podcast explored whether genuine change will occur in sport to protect athletes rather than the reputation of sports governing bodies. “The athlete testimonies are a necessary part of the process because they raise awareness of the scope of the problem” says Alex McLin.
