Legal Intern
We are seeking a highly motivated Legal Intern eager to gain hands-on experience in sports law, integrity, compliance, and safe sport. This paid internship offers exposure to real cases, direct collaboration with senior staff, and a unique insight into the functioning of an international sports integrity body.
Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Executive Director, the Head of Legal Affairs, and the wider GEF team on a broad range of disciplinary, governance, and integrity matters

Support case management activities: analyse incoming matters, identify key issues, prepare case files, draft communications, and assist during proceedings before the Disciplinary Commission and the Court of Arbitration for Sport

Participate in witness interviews and take accurate, well-structured notes and minutes

Conduct targeted legal and factual research and produce concise, actionable summaries

Assist in organising meetings and internal processes (scheduling, filing, maintaining records)

Contribute to special projects and ad-hoc assignments in support of the GEF’s mission
Requirements:

Currently enrolled in, or having recently completed, a Master’s degree in Law
-
Excellent command of English (written and spoken); good working knowledge of French and/or other languages is an asset

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly

High level of organisation and reliability

Discretion, professionalism, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Strong interest in sport

Ideally full-time; part-time candidates may be considered
